I figured out what I want to with my life. Pottery Studio. As I said in my previous few posts, I love ceramics. So, now I need to do what it takes to get to that point. But what does that look like?

            It means I need to get out there and do pottery. I need to make mistakes time and time and time again. Because that is how you learn. The first time I tried the potter’s wheel, well, it didn’t go as planned. My clay flew off the wheel. Needless to say, I didn’t continue with the wheel after that. But I need to continue practicing on the wheel in order to have my own pottery studio. I have the design for it, how I want it laid out. It will cost quite a bit to get this up and running, and what a lot of people have told me is to work with what I have, so I will start there.

            I have Sculpey clay. It isn’t pottery clay but it is similar. Pottery clay is much easier to mold and shape and you can get pottery clay a lot smoother with less effort. But it is good for me to get to know multiple types of clay. I don’t know what else to say at this point other than I need to get this idea in gear!!
